There’s a special place in my heart for Shara Hughes (@sharalynne). She was one of the first artists—over five years ago—to say yes to being filmed. Then fast forward to 2025, we reconnected at her show in Seoul with Austin Eddy. And now to bring it full circle, we made it back to her studio in New York as she prepared for her show at David Kordansky (@davidkordanskygallery). These journeys and moments with an artist are what I cherish most in the art world. They parallel the portals in her work
