Bodice History
This 1892-1896 Victorian bodice has my heart 💗 As I pulled it out of the ancient box it was stuffed in, I gasped when I saw those gigot sleeves and the beaded trim! 😍. This matching set is in pretty bad shape, with lots of discoloration and plenty of rips and holes. Even so, this set is my favorite find so far and probably the first piece that I’ll “pattern out” and remake in my size. It’s made from a silk bengaline and lined with pink cotton. It is mostly machine sewn, but there is plenty of
