I LOVE transformations on the coordinate plane and tracing paper is a must! (Especially for rotations!) When students get to move a shape around, they can see how the coordinates change. Patty paper (you know, the paper they put between hamburger patties)… is my go-to. I’m using some translucent sticky notes in this video, which are kinda nice because they stick. ✏️Tip: If you’re using patty paper/sticky notes/tracing paper… Be sure students trace the x-axis and y-axis first.
