Trapping abandoned dogs takes time. When dogs are in survival mode, they’re constantly in flight mode. They feel safer approaching a trap at night, and even then it can take days before they trust it. Traps have to be monitored for long hours. You must be there within minutes—dogs can panic, try to escape, or injure themselves. Conditioning a dog to walk all the way inside the trap is a slow process.
