As of Oct. 1, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max is on sale for $44.99 at Amazon. That's 47% off the list price. The 4K Max is one of Amazon's most powerful streaming devices, with its powerful processor designed for fast app starts and smooth navigation.

Just ahead of its October Prime Day event, Amazon has unveiled a new Fire TV Stick 4K that it says is part of a "new generation of Fire TV hardware that started with Fire TV Stick HD earlier this year.

The Select is Amazon’s entry point to 4K streaming. It outputs 4K Ultra HD with HDR10+, the format that adjusts brightness and contrast scene by scene on compatible TVs, and the listing names no other HDR format, so I would not expect Dolby Vision. Setup is the usual routine for a stick: plug it into an HDMI port, connect it to Wi-Fi and sign in.

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the best streaming media stick you can buy from Amazon. It packs serious power into a compact form factor, delivering a buttery-smooth experience that really elevates movie nights.
